Red-eyes and dark hotel rooms best describes my first day of NYFW. Since I had to work on Friday, Kelly and I decided to take a red-eye and arrive in NYC 8am the next day where we would go straight to the Jill Stuart show at 11am. We knew check in at our Hotel wasn’t until 3pm but we were like no problem we will just change at the Hotel’s bathroom, little did I know that the hotel bathroom was so dark I literally had Kelly holding my iPhone light to see. Despite getting ready in an ill lit bathroom we made it to the Jill Stuart show. After Jill we went to 2 more shows and 2 parties that night. The next day we took an easy morning since our first show wasn’t until noon. We felt refreshed and ready to brave another day at the shows. I did have quiet a few interviews and people asking about why I was wearing what I wore and I told them “lately all I wanna do is wear black and white.” Pencil skirts with slits are everything and taking basic pieces and mixing them with more intertesing pieces like this AQ/AQ crop top. I added this Jerome Dreyfuss clutch to my day wear again mixing elements in your ensemble, which is not only fun but a great way to switch it up. It really was a great time hanging out and meeting so many talented, passionate and stylish people.
