Red-eyes and dark hotel rooms best describes my first day of NYFW. Since I had to work on Friday, Kelly and I decided to take a red-eye and arrive in NYC 8am the next day where we would go straight to the Jill Stuart show at 11am. We knew check in at our Hotel wasn’t until 3pm but we were like no problem we will just change at the Hotel’s bathroom, little did I know that the hotel bathroom was so dark I literally had Kelly holding my iPhone light to see. Despite getting ready in an ill lit bathroom we made it to…

Running from show to show is real, and being late happens. You are hopeful that you’ll make all the shows but time, traffic, and life doesn’t always allow that. Sneakers sure do make it easier to…

Been dreaming of those crisp mornings in Colorado lately. The air so fresh and the hope of a new day. After being away in SF & NYC for the past couple of weeks it feels great to be home, just makes you appreciate the little things that much more. Coming back to 95 degree weather is a…

A few weeks ago was my first time in San Francisco and now I know what people are talking about. The city is so alive and so very unique from its mix of architecture to the happiness that everyone seems to exude. You just start to smile when you are in the city. I did learn my lesson about wearing flirty little dresses and hats, ya not so good when its a windy day, I almost lost…

Basics have ruled my closet for the past couple of months which is something totally new to me. I am use to my closet being filled with statement piece after statement piece. Now what catches my eye are things like crisp white shirts, worn in denim, and mules for days. A year ago…

While crusin thru historic downtown Petaluma in Northern California I realized that once again I left my purse in the car and only grabbed my phone, something that keeps happening more and more. Not sure if I like the look of only my phone in my hand like an accessory or maybe its the new normcore lifestyle I have adopted. Either way I liked it. The color combo of navy oversized sweater and pinky nude slip mixed with the bright white sneakers totally made me feel like a nurse on duty at first but I quickly changed my mindset to feel like a girl off duty.

Well it’s that time again, New York Fashion Week and it’s time to suit up and put your best ensembles forward. This year I will be a Reiss Fashion Week Insider and will be reporting the latest on the shows as well as wearing the Reiss Fall 14-15 collection.

Maybe it was the Free People dress, maybe the location or maybe that my husband and I connected on such a deep level that day that it feels like a dream. This was one of those days that will be forever imprinted in my mind. The golden hour came fast and on my way thru the tall grass I stopped to enjoy that very second. Everything was calm, the sound of the river flowing constantly but yet so gentle, the cool breeze, the warm sun. I felt like I was shining so bright, as if I was the sun myself.

Every Summer growing up my parents would take me to Colorado to go fly fishing. Since it is Kelly and I’s first year of being married I thought it only fitting that he would officially become part of the family by learning how to fly fish with my dad the pro fly fisherman. On the way into Crested Butte for our fishing license, we drove by this field with an abandon barn and worn down fence. I had my dad pull over and…

Day 2 of Kelly and I’s anniversary getaway at The Villa and I woke up feeling refreshed with so many ideas. I threw on my favorite pair of denim (which I can’t seem to stop wearing) grabbed my laptop and started finding inspiration, reading and jotting down notes. I felt so lucky to just be able to step away from the fast pace of life, lay in bed, listen to the waves crash and let my creativity flow.
