As I have mentioned in the past I have been putting my house together, slowly but surely. It has been a long process and its still not complete but I thought I would share a preview of one of my favorite pieces so far, a piece of art work by photographer and fellow Texan living in LA, Gray Malin. Visit his site here.
I choose this piece because of its unexpected beauty and almost tranquil vibes. The story is inspiring and one I share with anyone that asks about the piece. Gray shot these 1000 year old trees in Namibia. These “Ancient Spirals” standing alone in the middle of the desert where no vegetation usually grows was a wonder and I had to have it for my home. Gray dressed these ancient trees up with crate paper and allowed the wind to circle around as he captured the crate paper dancing around these trees.
See more of his Namibia collection here and from now until November 20th the Gray Malin team is offering free framing.
