ANCIENT SPIRALS BY GRAY MALIN

When my husband and I first moved into our new home last year we decided to move in with a clean slate, we sold all of our old furniture and wanted to make purchases together for our new home. So much of the furniture was a mix n match of his and hers and it was time for ours.

Its been a very long process and I have to admit we still don’t really have a living room. A while back I ordered this piece from a fellow Texan living in LA Gray Malin. Gray shot these 1000 year old trees in Namibia. These “Ancient Spirals” standing alone in the middle of the desert where no vegetation usually grows was a wonder and I had to have it for my home. Gray dressed these ancient trees up with crate paper and allowed the wind to circle around as he captured the crate paper dancing around these trees.

This is the first piece of art hung in our home and only section in our house that actually feels like a home. I know it will take a while but it will be well worth it. See the whole series from Namibia here and from April 13-19 Gray Malin is offering free framing.
